Conceding defeat in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav said on Friday he will resign after all the results are out.

As election trends indicated upsurge of BSP led by his rival Mayawati, Yadav told reporters in Luknow that his Samajwadi Party had not done well.

After all the results were out, he would resign, Yadav said.
