Mumbai hotel attack: Sanjay Raut remanded to judicial custody till Feb 5

Shiv Sena MP and Saamana Executive Editor Sanjay Raut, who was arrested in connection with the attack on Hotel Intercontinental in Andheri, has been remanded in judicial custody till February 5.

Shiv Sena MP and Saamana Executive Editor Sanjay Raut was on Tuesday remanded in judicial custody till February 5 by a local court.

Raut was arrested by the police in connection with the attack on Hotel Intercontinental in suburban Andheri on January 21 by Shiv Sena-led Bhartiya Kamgar Sena (BKS).

He was booked under IPC sections related to rioting, said a senior police official from Sahar police station.

So far 53 persons from Bhartiya Kamgar Sena (BKS) have been arrested in this case.

Raut's lawyers have filed his bail application which will be heard on Tuesday.
