My first crush/I could never tell her how I felt about her?

My first crush was my classmate in Class III or IV of my school. What did I like about her? Everything – her looks, intelligence, her overall personality. She was the kind of person I wanted to be with but I guess I was too young to understand what to say to her. I would be very excited about going to school every day because that way I could see her. It’s difficult to describe how I felt sitting close to her. But I never managed to gather the courage to say anything to her except ‘Hey’ or ‘Hello.’ And that’s the one thing I regret when I look back at the entire episode. I wish I had known what kind of person she was, what her likes and dislikes were.

Things were moving fast and soon it was time for us to shift to Lucknow. It took me three or four months to get over her and forget her. Actually, for about six to seven months, she was the only one on my mind but at the end of the day, a crush is just a crush. Sometimes you end up confessing your true feelings to the person and sometimes you don’t. In my case, I didn’t – that’s the greatest regret of my life. There’s nothing serious about it, of course. I have no idea where she is now but I sincerely pray for her well being: May God bless her with all the good things of life. But yes, I would love to meet her again and see what she’s doing with her life – and also to understand why I liked her way back then.

Love is probably one of the most important and beautiful things in anyone’s life. I truly believe in love, but till you find the right person for yourself, a mild crush is always welcome and healthy. There’s nothing wrong in it. What do you think?
