Protesters attacked ancestral house of Law & Parliamentary Affairs minister, Ali Mohammad Sagar at Nawakadal around 2 pm. The demonstrators hurled stones at the house, smashing window panes. The security guards posted inside did not let them cause further damage. No senior police official confirmed the report.

Reports from north Kashmir's Handwara area also suggested that protesters attacked the house of senior ruling National Conference leader Sharief-ud-din Sharik. The protesters reportedly pelted stones at Sharik's house and tried to barge into it. However, the policemen deployed there chased them away. No police official confirmed the development.
