The NCR has started preparations in full swing and the officials are making multiple efforts to make travel easier for the passengers.

NCR General Manager, Budh Prakash, said, "As a large number of devotees are expected to arrive during Ardh Kumbh fair, we are making efforts to provide facilities similar to that of Kumbh fair".

In order to provide easy movement to the heavy traffic, the Foot Over Bridge (FOB) which is at present connecting platform number 5, 6, 7 and 8 will now also connect platform number 9 and 10 and it will be extended till Smith Road, said the GM.

Besides, there will be reservation and ticketing facility in the mela area.

With this facility, a large number of devotees specially Kalpwasis will be able to procure their tickets from the booking counters that will be installed in the mela area, he added.

Besides this, various other measures will be taken to facilitate the passengers including doubling of track between Manikpur-Chheoki section and provision of stoppage of trains at Chheoki station.

Not only this, we will also be providing third track between Allahabad and Subedarganj, said GM NCR.

"Work has already been started and it is expected to be completed within a couple of months", said the GM NCR.
