Kochi's Jawaharlal Nehru stadium is another new entrant into the world of international cricket.
It hosted the first One-Day Internationals (ODI) in 1998 while the most recent was in 2002.
Gary Kirsten has been the highest individual scorer at 115 during the South Africa's 1999-2000 visit to India. The city is set to host one of the five ODI during the upcoming Pakistan tour of India.
