The arrested Nigerian Paul Chinedu Ugwor alias Emma, 32, is a resident of Onisha. He used to live in a rented accommodation in Uttam Nagar. PS Kushwah, additional deputy commissioner of police (crime), said Emma was arrested from Shivaji Marg in west Delhi’s Janakpuri.

“The arrest came following a tip-off, after which a team under the supervision of Additional DCP (crime) Sanjay Bhatia laid a trap to nab the drug peddler," said Kushwah.

During interrogation, Kushwah said, Emma revealed that he came to Mumbai in 2008 on multiple visa. “He came in touch with a fellow Nigerian Dabel Chukwu who was involved in the supply of cocaine to Mumbai’s pubs and bars. As his business was not doing well, he too became a drug peddler,” said Kushwah.

He shifted to Delhi in 2010 and made new contacts, a senior police officer said.
