The MTV show, Super Select, has undergone a makeover and as part of it, the show's host, VJNikhil Chinapa has got a spanking, new colourful bathroom to himself. To host the show, of course.

Nikhil, who's been with the channel for "nine years now" says he's got the "most ridiculous bathrooms" as a set of his show. So will he now be hosting the show sitting on the pot? "Well, the plumbing is not fully done, so as of now, it's just a decorative piece."

However, he says, Super Select has gone through major changes "and we will take the show to hang out places and college campuses, just to add to the fun/youth quotient.

"The show has been the longest running and viewers don't seem to tire of it at all mainly because it's not about my or my mum's music or for that matter the channel's music.

It's all about playing your music, your videos, for you. We just give the viewers a list of videos that are currently available to us."

Besides playing their favourite music, Nikhil will also interact with the youth about various issues (not serious/thoughtprovoking ones though).

He rates "Maria Goretti as my favourite VJ" and the one thing he's discovered about himself he says "is that I'm intolerant of MCPs and those who take dowry. Once this student called in on the show and we got chatting.

He had just finished his engineering exams and I asked him what he would do next and he promptly said, "Marry and take a huge dowry from the girl because my parents spent so much on my education. I completely lost it and even abused and cursed him that he should never find a girl to marry!" Phew! Besides veejaying, which he says he's still not had enough of, Nikhil also does remixes with DJ Naved.
