Satish Manadade, a businessman from Latur, and Mohan Anand Shukla, a Corporator from Dombivli, were remanded to eight-day custody by the Panvel court.

The prosecution had, however, sought a remand for 15 days.

The duo was arrested by the special crime cell of the CBI on Sunday for their alleged involvement in the murder of Congress leader Pawanraje Nimbalkar.

Nimbalkar and his driver were shot at Kalamboli in Navi Mumbai on June 3, 2006. The case was transferred to the CBI by the Bombay High Court last year.
