Nine killed, 35 injured in road mishap in Punjab

Nine persons, including a child and four women, were killed and 35 students were injured when a jeep collided with a school bus at Goniana area near Bathinda, police said.
Nine persons, including a child and four women, were killed and 35 students were injured when a jeep collided with a school bus at Goniana area near Bathinda, police said on Monday.
The incident took place on Bathinda-Amritsar road when the bus of Rajindra Public school in Haryana's Sirsa district, which was was on its way back from a trip to Amritsar, collided with the jeep, they said.

The 35 injured were rushed to a local hospital where they are stated to be out of danger.
All the deceased were the occupant of the jeep, which was en route to Bathinda from Goniana, Bathinda SSP S S Gill said.
