Nine killed in road mishap in Rajasthan

Nine persons, mostly daily wage earners, were killed and 16 others injured in a head-on collision of their jeep with a truck.

Nine persons, mostly daily wage earners, were killed and 16 others injured when a private jeep in which they were travelling collided head on with a big truck near Dausa in Rajasthan, police said.

Ten seriously injured were rushed to the Sawai Man Singh hospital here, while six were admitted to Dausa government hospital, police said.

The deceased included one woman and a girl, they said.

The jeep was on its way from Dausa to Lalsot when it collided with the truck, which was carrying new vehicles, approaching from the opposite side.
