No bail for Heum, to stay in police custody

Chennai court today deferred the bail plea of alleged child molestor Will Heum by two days and sent him to police custody. He will be in police custody for interrogation till the next hearing, TV reports say.

Chennai court on Monday deferred the bail plea of alleged child molestor Will Heum by two days and sent him to police custody.

He will be in police custody for interrogation till the next hearing, TV reports say.

Heum is charged under the new IT Act for digital child pornography, a crime punishable with a maximum of seven years' imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10 lakh.

Heum is also being tried in a seven-year-old pending case of molesting multiple minor victims, and has obtained more than 20 adjournments in it so far.
