Cool vendor has been defined as a company that offers technologies or solutions that are innovative, impactful and intriguing, according to a press release.
"The listing does not constitute an exhaustive list of vendors in any given technology area, but rather is designed to highlight interesting, new and innovative vendors, products and services," the release added.
"Virtela is honoured to be recognized by Gartner as a 'Cool Vendor,'" said Goel, who is Virtela's chairman and partner at Norwest Venture Partners.
The recognition, he said, reinforce the benefit derived from solutions that reduce capital expenses, protect existing investments and ensure consistent network performance in a turbulent market climate at an attractive price.
Virtela delivers a comprehensive suite of network, security and application solutions.
