Day 11 of the 66th Cannes film festival saw the screening of director Jim Jarmusch’s retro-cool vampire film, Only Lovers Left Alive, which was attended by the movie’s cast — Tom Hiddleston, Tilda Swinton and John Hurt, among others.

The penultimate day of the festival also witnessed the screening of French filmmaker Roman Polanski’s Venus in Fur, which had well-known names such as Australian actor Nicole Kidman, Chinese actor Zhang Ziyi and filmmaker Steven Spielberg who was accompanied by wife Kate Capshaw in attendance.

Actor Kim Novak, 80, who starred opposite actor James Stewart in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1958 thriller Vertigo, was seen as the guest of honour for the screening of the restored version of the film.
