One NDFB ultra shot dead in Nalbari, Assam

One hardcore anti-talk faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) was shot dead by security forces in lower Assam's Baksa district on Monday.

Police said a group of about five militants fired on the advancing securitymen and in the ensuing encounter the militant was killed at Rangidora village under Shimla police station.

Four others managed to escape.

Two grenades, two nine mm pistols, and a couple of mobile sets were recovered from the spot.
