The BMC-owned racecourse land has been given on lease to RWITC. On Thursday, BMC officials and RWITC representatives met to discuss the alleged violations of the lease agreement.
Though no other decisions were taken in the meeting, the issue of keeping more space accessible for the public was discussed.
“We will meet again next week with some proposals on how to keep more space for public use,” said Vivek Jain, chairman of RWITC's marketing and media wing.
A source from estate department said: “We have asked the RWITC officials to submit documents of all restaurants, including Olive, Indigo and Gallops, built on the premises and also on the open spaces. Even they have agreed to keep some more open space for public use.”
Jain agreed to submit copies of the documents to the BMC.
