Paes-Stosur crash out of mixed doubles

Venus Williams, together with fellow American partner Bob Bryan, defeated the fourth seeds Paes and Stosur 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.

Leander Peas and Samantha Stosur of Australia crashed out of the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles on Friday.

Venus Williams, together with fellow American partner Bob Bryan, defeated the fourth seeds Paes and Stosur 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 in 66 minutes.

Earlier, they had stormed in the quarter-finals beating Argentina's Sebastian Prieto and Flavia Pennetta of Italy 6-3, 6-2 in a third round match.
