Pakistani troops returns Indian national

Pakistan authorities on Thursday handed over an Indian national who had inadvertently crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector in June.

Pakistan troops on Thursday handed over an Indian national who had inadvertently crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector in June.

Mohammad Rashid, a driver, was handed back at the Chakan-da-bagh crossing point to the Indian Army.

According to a defence spokesperson, Rashid, a resident of Degwar Teruan village, Poonch had crossed over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir on June 12, 2015.

His father Sattar Din had even lodged a missing report in police station.

It is first instance of ‘friendly’ gesture by Pakistan after India and Pakistan had resumed dialogue.
