Pehel publishes books and other audio-visuals for people in villages and rural settlements, focusing on issues that receive little or no coverage in mainstream publications. Special initiatives focus on taking books to rural readers through village libraries and encouraging people to become campaigners for the cause of creating and sustaining a reading society among India's marginalised.
