The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued notice to the Centre on a PIL seeking clear demarcation of powers between the Union Health Ministry and the AIIMS. It seeks to prevent any unnecessary interference in the functioning of the country's premier health institute.

A vacation Bench of Justice RS Sodhi and Justice Geeta Mittal also asked the Centre to submit recommendations of the Professor Javed Committee appointed to suggest measures to prevent exodus of senior doctors from the institute.

The petition filed by a Homeopathic doctor Vikash Jain through counsels Sugrive Dubey and Nomita Roy comes in the wake of the recent public spat involving Union Health Minister A Ramadoss and the AIIMS Director P Venugopal.
