All the 80 passengers of the flight were safely evacuated from the Jetlight flight.

The snag led to the closure of the main runway till the aircraft was towed away for inspection.

Sources in Srinagar said, the pilot managed to halt the aircraft on the runway and averted a major accident.

According to unconfirmed reports, the wheels jammed as the aircraft touched down on landing at the runway.
