This is because Huda has announced that it will conduct a fresh draw on December 13 for about 112 aggrieved buyers, who paid money but haven't been allotted plots from the past seven years.

The allotment committee of the Huda, comprising the local administrator, district town planner, estate officers and representative of the DC, will hold a draw at 11am.

"We had been trying for long to accommodate buyers and looking for an empty patch.

After we got one in Sector 51, we developed it into plots and will now allocate it to people based on the draw," said a Huda official.

Similar disputes have been reported in Sectors 52 and 57 where people haven't got plots despite their names figuring in the draw.

"We will conduct draws for these sectors when we locate an empty area of the land," said the official.
