The Prime Minister's withering riposte was delivered after an all-party luncheon meeting hosted by speaker Somnath Chatterjee. He told reporters: "If Jaswant Singh had the decency and courage, he should name the person whom he is accusing of being a mole. We are not afraid of any debate on any issue."
Jaswant Singh’s book A call of honour is not winning him friends. Even the BJP and RSS are unhappy about it and have questioned the timing of the book and the relevance of the issues raised by him in the book.

The former foreign minister has claimed in his book that this mole in Rao's PMO had leaked nuclear secrets to the US and that "we are still being snooped."

The Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha said he had come to know about this a decade ago but remained quiet as he did not want to sensationalise the issue.

He said "the honour of the Prime Minister's Office, to an extent, was at stake. We were snooped, we are still being snooped."
