PM to attend G-8 meeting in St Petersburg

Singh, during a telephonic conversion with Putin late last night, accepted the invitation to participate in the meeting.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has accepted Russian President Vladmir Putin's invitation to attend the G-8 meeting to be held in St Petersburg in July this year.

Singh, during a telephonic conversion with Putin late last night, accepted the invitation to participate in the meeting.

"The Prime Minister conveyed his acceptance of President Putin's invitation to participate in a broader dialogue with G-8 at St Petersburg during his 20-minute telephonic talk", a PMO spokesman said.
