Police crack prostitution racket in Delhi

Raids were conducted in at least 27 places, including the posh Vasant Vihar, Vasant Kunj and Lajpat Nagar.

Delhi Police on Tuesday claimed to have unearthed a prostitution racket operating in the city and arrested eight alleged call girls and two pimps in overnight raids.

Raids were conducted in at least 27 places, including the posh Vasant Vihar, Vasant Kunj and Lajpat Nagar localities of the capital by sleuths of the Crime Branch, police sources said in New Delhi.

Eight girls and two men, who police claim were members oF the racket, were arrested from Paschim Vihar, Lajpat Nagar and Vasant Kunj localities.

According to the sources, the girls were from Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
