The police have lodged an FIR against the girl’s family on request of the boy’s father.
According to police's earlier version, Ishtiyak Ali shot dead his 16-year-old friend at her house. Ali later shot himself with a country-made weapon.
On Sunday, Ali's father Mushtak Khan approached Ghaziabad Senior Superintendent of Police and alleged in a written complaint that his son was murdered as he and his friend were in love.
On Monday, after the post-mortem reports were received, the police revealed that Ali was shot in the head from behind. Superintendent of Police, Capt. M.M. Baig ordered an FIR for murder to be lodged into the case against the girl's family members. “It is very much clear that he was probably shot. It could be a case of an honour-killing as suspected by victim's family," Baig said.
