The sketches were prepared on the description provided by the victim, Amar Singh. The police say they have identified the accused and will nab them soon.

According to police, the accused had been following Singh from Sector 14 market, where the victim had gone to visit a bank. They followed him to his residence at Sector 15-2.

“Singh has identified the two men from the CCTV footage,” a police officer said, adding that the two men appearing in the footage of the bank are the same who followed Singh.

When asked, deputy commissioner of police (DCP), west, Surinder Pal, said, “We have identified the accused and would arrest them soon. The case would be handed over to CIA if arrest is not made this week”.

On Saturday noon, Singh withdrew Rs. 4 lakh from ICICI Bank and was returning home in his car along with his driver when the incident took place. As he stepped out of his car, two man came and snatched his bag. Sector 15 is one of the posh localities in Gurgaon.

Meanwhile, the incident has spread panic among the residents who have been lambasting the police for poor patrolling in the area.

“The police have remained mute spectators and miscreants have been on rampage. They loot, snatch and indulge in daytime burglaries,” lamented a resident, adding that there is hardly any police patrolling in the area.
