Former Sehore Collector S K Mishra, who was removed after the Election Commission cracked the whip on model code of conduct violations during the Budhni by-election, was appointed as the Bhopal Collector on Wednesday.
Mishra’s posting is seen in bureaucratic circles as a ‘reward’ given by the Chief Minister to the 1991 batch IAS officer. However, Mishra’s innings won’t be long because he is likely to be promoted as a Secretary in the next few months.
Present Bhopal collector Sanjay Shukla has been shifted to Mantralaya as Director, Budget. He will replace V L Kantha Rao who is going on deputation to the Centre as a Director in the Ministry of Personnel.
Vinod Choudhary, Additional Chief Secretary, Biodiversity & Biotechnology, Public Grievances and General Administration Department, has been given additional charge of Planning, Economic & Statistics departments. Choudhary will replace Amar Singh shifted to the State Finance Commission as a member.
Managing Director, Mandi Board, S K Vashishtha has been shifted to MARKFED in the same capacity. The present incumbent of MARKFED, M A Khan would replace Vashishtha.
Chairman and MD, Central Region Power Distribution Company, Ajit Kesri has been shifted to Chambal as Divisional Commissioner. Government is not happy with Kesri’s performance.
Director, Indian System of Medicine, Omesh Mundra has been shifted and appointed as Additional Secretary to the Governor. Director, Backward Class Commission, Jabbar Dhakwala will replace Mundra.
