Polling in naxal-hit areas of Maharashtra on Thursday

Polling in 22 polling stations in naxal-hit areas of Maharashtra would be held on Thursday as the democratic exercise could not be held on Tuesday with the rest of the state because poll officials failed to reach the areas.

Polling in 22 polling stations in naxal-hit areas of Maharashtra would be held on Thursday as the democratic exercise could not be held on Tuesday with the rest of the state because poll officials failed to reach the areas.

Repoll would also be held on Thursday in two polling stations -- one each in Nagpur and Ichalkaranji--of the state, the Election Commission announced on Wednesday.

Polling was adjourned in seven polling stations in Armori, two in Garchiroli and 13 in Aheri assembly constituencies on Tuesday.
