The decision was taken at a meeting held at the Power House here on Monday.
Acting president Dwarika Prasad Ojha flayed the superintending engineer here for his anti employee’s policies and lashed out at him for not talking to the union office bearers regarding their long pending demands.
He threatened if the SE did not invite the leaders for dialogue soon, then the power department administration would be held directly liable.
He said employees’ demands like arrear payment, exemption from service tax, relief for the kin of those employees who died in harness, disbursement of salary on time were yet to be fulfilled. Joint secretary Jawaharlal Vishwakarma called upon the employees to fight unitedly against the State government’s anti employees’ policies.
No one could stop payment for the additional work carried out by the staff and the government should clear the payments immediately, said Vishwskarma. The government should scrap contractual appointments and clear the bonus for employees from 2004 to 2006.
He said the appointment process should be initiated against approximately 65000 vacant posts in the State.
A one- day nationwide strike would be observed on December 14 against the government’s apathetic attitude towards the staff.
