Panic gripped passengers at Bareilly railway station on Monday following recovery of a pressure cooker, which they thought was a bomb.

"Passengers apprehended a bomb threat after a pressure cooker was recovered from the dustbin kept in front of the station master's officer at Bareilly police station on Monday morning," Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Brij Lal told reporters in Lucknow.
He said the entire area was cordoned off and bomb disposal squad summoned.
"After checking it was found that the pressure cooker was empty and there were no explosives," the ADG said.
