Protesting under the banner of Institutions of Professional Education in Delhi (IPED) at Jantar Mantar, the agitators said the sealing of private institutes would affect the career of around five lakh students.

"We will close all the institutes from October 30 to November 1 and hold processions in different parts of Delhi till the government relents," Coordinator of IPED Rajesh Goyal said.

The Supreme Court-ordered sealing drive is due to resume on November one and among the establishments against which action will be taken are private educational institutes functioning in residential areas.

Around five lakh students are pursuing different professional courses at the private institutions located in areas like South Extension, Preet Vihar, Vikas Marg and Pitam Pura.

"This drive will not only affect the career of lakhs of students but also upcoming industries like BPO, civil aviation and IT," he said.

"We demand that the government should stop the terror of sealing immediately," Goyal said.
