The indefinite hunger strike by medical students in the Capital against the proposed quota for OBCs in elite educational institutions entered the third day on Tuesday.

The students have now found support in students of IIT-Delhi and Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, who have decided to create an alternative platform to unite all engineering colleges.

However, when approached earlier by the representative forum of medical students, engineering students had not shown any interest as their summer training was on and some were on vacations.

And unlike the IITs where students do not opt for an M Tech degree or IIMs, where a degree in management is complete in itself, in medicine MBBS is just the beginning of the long ladder.
