The radio station, meanwhile, has apologised and has suspended its presenter for two weeks.
Strongly reacting to the programme which spoke against Hindus' religious practices, the Hindu community said it was shocked and angered by the broadcast.
"In this instance, the material to be broadcast was not reviewed before being aired because it arrived at the station 10 minutes before the show" and was handled by the presenter, the apology statement said.
