An employee of railway signal department was shot at and injured by unidentified men at Kharagpur in West Midnapore district today.

An employee of railway signal department was shot at and injured by unidentified men at Kharagpur in West Midnapore district today.
Police said K Durga Rao was on way to office when he was accosted by two youths at Golbazar area of the town, who then shot at him and escaped in a two-wheeler.
A profusely bleeding Rao was then taken to Kharagpur Railway Hospital in a serious condition.
Police said the motive behind the attack was not clear.
