It may be recalled that the RPF men had picked up two employees from their village and kept them in the lock-up of the RPF the whole night on charge of managing theft in the plant. More than two dozen railway employees had been injured when RPF personnel resorted to lathicharge on Monday to control the violent mob outside the plant, protesting against beating up of two of their colleagues by RPF on Sunday evening.

The employees, under the banner of Eastern Central Railway Union, assembled outside the plant today and took out a procession in the premises of the Mughalsarai junction. They demanded the suspension of chief workshop manager, executive engineer and some jawans of the RPF responsible for lathicharge on railway employees on Monday.

Divisional Railway Manager for Mughalsarai R Vijay Mohan has constituted a committee to look into the demands of the agitating employees. Elaborate security arrangement has been made in and around the plant to avoid further violence.
