The city recorded about 7 inches of rainfall in two hours from 2 am to 4 am early this morning, the district flood control authorities told PTI.

There was no report of any casualty from any parts of the district.

Meanwhile, the teams of fire brigade have rushed to the affected area for removal of fallen trees and they have continued to receive complaints of tree falling from various areas of the city.

The heavy rainfall brought down the temperature significantly and people heaved a sigh of relief from soaring temperature for the last couple of days.
