Rajeshwari Sachdev will be seen in Shyam Benegal's new film, Mahadev, alongside Shreyas Talpade and Amrita Rao.

"This is my seventh outing with Mr Benegal," she says excitedly. Sachdev was last seen in Benegal's Bose: The Forgotten Hero.

"I have done only a handful of films though I have been in the industry for almost 15 years now," she admits.

"I have always been choosy and don't regret my decision," she says.

The actor insists that Mahadev is a different film. "I am not allowed to speak about my role. All I can tell you is that it's a comedy," she says.

Busy busy
The National Award winner who made her debut in Benegal's Sooraj Ka Satwan Ghoda, will also be seen in The Family Picture, directed by Oma Kamat who is an art director with Walt Disney Pictures.

"The film will release soon. It has a gripping storyline about a mother-son relationship that changes with time," Sachdev informs.

Lack of time is another reason for doing fewer films. What keeps her busy?

"I have my dance classes. I'm doing a lot of concerts with my husband Varun (Badola), too," she says.

Rajeshwari also has a career as a singer.

"Varun and I have been planning an album for a while but things have a way of getting delayed because either he is busy or I am," she laughs.

Right now she's anchoring K for Kishore.

"I was a big fan of Kishoreda. I grew up watching his films. That's why I took up the show," she concludes.
