Kalyan had recently said, "BJP does not need any enemy as Rajnath alone will sink its electoral fortunes."

When asked to comment on Kalyan's outbursts, the former BJP president said that he still respected his former party colleague.

"He (Kalyan) seems to be short of words and therefore is in the habit of using such language," Rajnath said, adding he was confident that BJP would get a clear majority in the coming Assembly elections.
