He was the prime accused in the gangrape trial and was facing 13 criminal charges, including death penalty in rarest of rare cases.

A local bully in South Delhi's Ravi Das slum, he was drunk at the time of the incident and was the one to trigger the altercation that snoballed into the brutal rape.

He was the driver of the bus in which the paramedical student was raped on that fateful nigh last year.
