A man was beaten to death by a mob for allegedly raping and killing his minor niece in a village near Patna.
Sishupal Singh was killed after he committed the crime on his five-year-old niece in Nawada village on Friday night.
Police sources said when the news spread, angry villagers caught Sishupal and delivered instant justice by beating him to death.
A police officer, Jaymangal Rai, said the bodies of both Sishupal and the minor girl were sent for post-mortem to the Patna Medical College and Hospital on Saturday.
"Preliminary investigation suggest the girl was raped and killed by Sishupal and then the villagers beat him to death," he said.
