Renu Jogi relinquished from service

Dr Renu Jogi wife of Ajit Jogi has been relinquished from govt service.

Chhattisgarh government today said wife of Congress candidate from Mahasamund Ajit Jogi, Dr Renu Jogi has been relinquished from government service.

Chief Minister Raman Singh told reporters here that Renu had earlier resigned from the government service as the Associate Professor of Opthamology in the Raipur Medical College on April 13, but she changed her resignation letter to an application for Voluntary Retirement on April 15.

"Today the state government has accepted her application for voluntary retirement from government service," he said.

To a query, whether the accident would draw any sympathy for Jogi, Singh said people wanted the former Chief Minister to recover speedily from accident he met on April 11, but when it comes to voting they have decided to vote for BJP.

Singh exuded confidence that the ruling BJP will get all the 11 seats in the Lok Sabha polls.

Commenting about the performance of Congress in the poll, he said: "they are in a surrender stage and have failed to gather courage to raise any national issue and are thus raking local issues."

During the road show of AICC President Sonia Gandhi, Singh said, she only under took a journey but had not interacted any where. While the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister touched all the issues pertaining to Chhattisgarh during their tour to the state.
