Six employees of Revenue Department in Jammu district have been suspended after they were allegedly found absent from duty, official sources said on Thursday.

Joint Financial Commissioner (Revenue) Devender Nargotra had conducted a surprise inspection of the tehsil offices at Akhnoor and found six officials absent from duty, the sources said, adding they were placed under suspension by the Commissioner.

The employees suspended are Pitamber Das, Mohammad Rashid, Sehdev Singh, Joginder Singh, Ranjit Singh and Swaran Lal, the sources said.
