Reward on absconding naxals

INSPECTOR GENERAL of Police for Varanasi Zone KL Meena has declared a reward of Rs 10,000 each on three absconding naxalites, including two women, to check the naxalite menace in the region. He has also recommended to the administration to increase the amount of the reward for their prompt arrest.

INSPECTOR GENERAL of Police for Varanasi Zone KL Meena has declared a reward of Rs 10,000 each on three absconding naxalites, including two women, to check the naxalite menace in the region. He has also recommended to the administration to increase the amount of the reward for their prompt arrest.

Around 24 absconding naxalites, including two women Lalita and Pushpa, have been persistently challenging law and order in the region in association with the People’s War Group (PWG) and Maoist Communist Centre (MCC). Cops have launched combing operations but their efforts have been in vain.

Minor raped: A seven-year-old girl was raped by a youth in Murdaha village under Cholapur police station . Medical examination of the victim confirmed the rape on Saturday.

The police have arrested the culprit and sent him to jail.According to information, Prakash Gaur misled a seven-year- old girl and took her to a field where he raped her on Wedenesday. The accused had threatened the victim not to tell her parents.The culprit again went to the house of the victim on Saturday and tried to outrage the modesty of her minor cousin. Both girls raised an alarm and told the neighbours about the incident. The locals nabbed the youth and handed him over to the police.
