The cavalcade of Congress MLA Ram Niwas Ghorela was returning from Karnal when the MLAs men beat up a commuter for blocking the road in Jind.

“The Barwala MLA’s gunner and driver beat up Davinder Singh for not giving way to their SUV around 9pm on Sunday,” a police officer said.

Singh also alleged that the MLA’s men beat up his female relatives travelling with him.

The gunner and the driver have been booked.

Soon after the incident, locals gathered on the spot and demanded the arrest of Ghorela, his gunman and the driver.

After blocking the Hansi-Jind road for two hours, the protesters dispersed following an assurance of action from the district authorities.

Back in October, Porbandar Congress MP Vitthal Radadia was caught on camera flashing his gun at the employees of a toll booth on NH-8 in Vadodara after his driver was asked to show the MP's I-card to claim a waiver.
