In a shocking case, a 33-year-old executive was abducted by armed robbers in his own car on Tuesday from a busy Gurgaon market, assaulted and dumped in Pilkhuwa, near Hapur in Uttar Pradesh.
The victim, an exports house executive who doesn’t wish to be identified, was abducted from a busy market in DLF City at 7.30pm on Tuesday.
On the fateful day, the L-Block resident had called his wife on his way back from work and both decided to meet up at Bisque Bakery. The shop is located in the Central Arcade market in DLF City (Phase 2).
As on any given day, the parking lot in the area was full, so the victim had parked his car in front of the Indian Overseas Bank branch in K block.
The spot is about 200 metres away from the bakery and his wife had parked her car in front of a shop called Samrat Bakery.
After having a sandwich, he had asked his wife to get going as he moved towards his car which was parked at a distance.

{{/usCountry}}The victim’s father said, “My son called me to tell me that he will reach home in 10 minutes. When he did not turn up after 30 minutes, I called back but his phone was not reachable. We waited for an hour and then informed the police. However, they said he might be with his friends. We kept calling but could not reach him.”
According to the victim, the moment he sat in his car, one man entered from the left, another came in from the right and a third pulled his neck from behind and threatened him at gunpoint to not raise an alarm.
“I was shocked and scared. I did not know what to do as they had pistols. They thrashed me and then blindfolded me. I do not remember what route they took. After three hours, they threw me out of the car with my laptop bag,” the victim said.
“A passerby saw me and rushed to help. He untied my hands and legs and I used his phone to call my family. They had forced me to give my wallet, ATM cards and PIN number,” the victim added.
“Around 11pm, he finally called us and told us about the robbery. We immediately left for Pilkhuwa. He was in severe pain so we took him to Fortis Hospital,” said the man’s father.
As per transaction records, the robbers withdrew Rs 25,000 from an ATM in Ghaziabad. A case has been registered.
