Spokesman of the MPCC, Rohidas Patil, while condemning Thackeray's remarks at a public rally at Pen in neighbouring Raigad district yesterday, said the people have lost faith in what the Sena chief talks about.

Patil told reporters that even the NDA Government did not pay much attention to the Shiv Sena supremo's protest on sending the Indian cricket team to Pakistan.

"It was during Sena-BJP rule in state that he (Thackeray) made tall claims that Enron would be submerged and Dawood would be brought to book, none of which ever came true", Patil added.

Congress also criticised Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's remarks against Congress President Sonia Gandhi, stating that it reflected the values inculcated by BJP among its cadre.
