Rs 1,648 crore for drought-hit states
A sum of Rs 1,648.77 crore has been approved as financial assistance to drought affected states, Rajya Sabha was informed.

A sum of Rs 1,648.77 crore has been approved as financial assistance to drought affected states, Rajya Sabha was informed.
Replying to supplementaries during Question Hour, Agriculture Minister Ajit Singh said the amount approved on March 23 this year was subject to adjustment of 50 per cent of Calamity Relief Fund (CRF) allocation for 2003-04 for other states and 25 per cent of CRF allocation for 2003-04 in respect of Rajasthan.
