Rs 1-cr property detected in raid

A POLICE team raided house of a satta operator cum businessman in Biaora on Sunday and detected property worth Rs 1 crore which he had allegedly accumulated illegally.

A POLICE team raided house of a satta operator cum businessman in Biaora on Sunday and detected property worth Rs 1 crore which he had allegedly accumulated illegally. Sub-divisional officer (Police) Alok Kumar Singh said that police raided the house of businessman Ashok Agrawal on the directives of Class I Judicial Magistrate, Sharda Nahta.

On an evaluation, police detected that he had accumulated property worth Rs 1 crore through illegal means and satta operations. Besides this, he also had undeclared property and police were looking into it, said Singh.

The SDOP said officials of Revenue, Public Works, Forest and Finance departments were also part of the team that assessed the property owned by the businessman. Over fifty police constables accompanied them, he added.
