Rs 18 cr to be spent on shooting range, Scoring Target System

A sum of Rs 18 crore would be spent to modernise a baffle shooting range and setting up of an Electronic Scoring Target System at the BSF Revti Range in Indore in next three years, a top official said on Thursday.

A sum of Rs 18 crore would be spent to modernise a baffle shooting range and setting up of an Electronic Scoring Target System at the BSF Revti Range in Indore in next three years, a top official said on Thursday.

The BSF would spend Rs 10 crore on modernisation of 500km baffle range, while Rs 8 crore on setting up an Electronic Scoring Target System of international standards under a project funded by the ministry of human resource development, the DIG BSF and Commandant at Central School of Weapons, Rakesh Sharma told reporters in Indore.

Though the Revti range was fully equipped for shooting games and training but its modernisation was in the offing and it would be completed in next three years, the DIG claimed.

Central School of Weapons and Tactics' trained shooting champions have represented India in all national and international games, including Olympics and Commonwealth Games, he said.
